PoB Trade Links — Gear Shopping from Path of Building

Path of Building lets you plan a build in theory. This tool bridges the gap to actually buying the gear. Paste a PoB code and get a trade search link for every item slot — weapon, armour, jewels, gems, flasks — based on the exact mods your build needs.

How It Works

  1. Paste a Path of Building export code or a pobb.in link into the input field. The tool decodes and parses the full build XML.
  2. Each item in the build is analyzed — base type, required mods, socket colors, and links are extracted.
  3. Trade search queries are generated for each slot using the official pathofexile.com trade API filters. Mod values are set to reasonable minimums so you find affordable upgrades, not just mirror-tier copies.
  4. Click any item in the gear grid to see its mods and open the trade search directly. Gems and jewels get their own sections with individual trade links.

Example: Shopping for a Tornado Shot Deadeye

Paste the PoB for a Tornado Shot Deadeye. The tool parses 10 gear slots, 18 gems, 4 cluster jewels, and 3 abyss jewels — generating a separate trade link for each.

Click the bow slot to see the build's exact requirements: 6-link, +2 to bow gems, crit chance, attack speed. The generated trade link opens pathofexile.com with these filters already applied, showing real bows available right now.

For each gem, the link encodes the specific level and quality — a level 21 Awakened Greater Multiple Projectiles searches differently from a level 20 quality 20 version. Click through each gem link to buy the exact setup the build uses.

Total time from paste to shopping list: about 10 seconds. Compare to manually building 30+ trade searches by hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What PoB formats are supported?
Standard Path of Building export codes (the long base64 string), pobb.in links, and pastebin links that contain PoB codes. If PoB can import it, this tool can read it.
Why do some items show no trade link?
Items with no tradeable equivalent — like mirrored rares, quest rewards, or crafted items with specific fractured mods — cannot be searched on the trade site. The tool shows the item details but skips the trade link.
Does it handle gem levels and quality?
Yes. Each gem is priced at its exact level and quality from the PoB. A 21/20 gem links to a different search than a 20/0 gem.
Can I use builds from poe.ninja?
Yes — poe.ninja's build section has a "Copy PoB Code" button for each character. Paste that code here and you get trade links for their exact gear.
Why are the trade results different from what I expected?
The tool generates conservative search filters — lower minimum values, broader base type matching. This finds more results at the cost of including items that are slightly worse than the PoB version. You can refine the search on the trade site itself.
Can I share a parsed build with someone else?
Yes. Click the share button on the build header after parsing — it generates a URL that encodes the PoB code and the preset selection. Anyone opening the link sees the exact same parsed build.
Does it support PoE 2 builds?
No — this tool targets Path of Exile 1 specifically. For PoE 2 trade link generation, see the separate PoE 2 Trade Links tool linked below. The two games have different item systems, different stat IDs, and different trade API endpoints.
Why are flask mods partial matches?
Flasks often use enchant-style mods that are hard to search exactly. The tool filters by base flask type and the primary instilling mod, but secondary enchants (from Instilling Orbs) may not match perfectly. The generated link is close enough to find comparable flasks.
How accurate are the minimum mod values?
The minimums are set to roughly 70-80% of the PoB value — low enough to surface real results, high enough to filter out junk. If a specific mod tier is critical to the build, raise the minimum on the trade site after opening the link.
